So I was checking a few videos on line and seeing that you can cool your pc by submerging it in oil. I know this may not be the best way but I saw this video and thought it was pretty cool.

I want to know anyone that has actually done this or knows more about this. My question is.. In the long run how bad would the parts mess up. and any tips on how to make this work? any help would be greatly apreciated. thanks

If I remember correctly, they actually did this on Toms Hardware many moons ago (maybe a couple of years ago). Wonder if they have archived it somewhere? :)

Main thing was to seal any gap they could find for it to work.

There is an ongoing discussion here on the forum about this mineral oil immersion...................

Although an avid user of water cooling and I have a custom built hybrid water/pelt system, I cannot fathom doing this immersion thing. I keep getting these visions of body parts immersed in formaldehyde in glass lab containers when I think of it........... dead things.........
