Question Mini pc suggestions

Looking to get a mini pc to replace my ageing system. Something around two years old good for 1080/1440 gaming.

Can't afford a hades canyon...

Current spec

Fx6300 black @ 4ghz
8gb ddr4
Geforce 980 ti gaming.

Considering building a mini itx system just trying to get a better idea on what's available.

ASUS has that "newish" mini system out...sorry can't think of the model number. You could probably build one of those with an R5 with integrated for your budget. It will "game".

Was thinking along those lines. I've already got a seasonic 660 platinum atx in the old system but I think the case i'll need will require a small form psu (which is irritating to say the least), the reason for the upgrade is to not have a massive box in the living room.

Was thinking about the fractal node 202.

I could just have the old psu outside the case in the rear of the tv cabinets shelf running cables through the hole the psu should inhabit. Wouldn't be visible and would possibly help with cooling.

How old is that Seasonic? Even if it's a higher end unit if it's out of warranty I'd probably get a new unit, especially if it's for a gaming build.

The Node 202 is a solid HTPC case but may go over your budget though as those SFF PSU's can get pricey but may be feasible if you reuse your current storage.
