Hello

I have a computer that has an intergated video card with motherboard. This computer has two hard disks that are separated into 4 patterns. When I add a video card, the computer works well with this new card but it does not recognize the second hard disk (in "My Computer", I see only two patterns of the first hardisk). I think this is because of IRQ setting...

(re-post from graphic forum)
Could you please help
Thanks

To look for IRQ conflicts, try this:

1) Start -->Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> System Information. Click on Hardware Resources. Look at conflicts, forced hardware and IRQs to see if you can spot a problem.

2) Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> System. Click on Hardware tab and then on Device Manager button. Look for any yellow warnings.

If no joy, then since you are not using the integrated graphics, you can always reboot and before Windows loads go into the BIOS setup program. This will allow you to disable the IGP, which may fix the problem.

could it possible be the PSU related problem for not having enough power to juice the hdd when the graphic card was added?

*just try my luck here..
