Mixing slightly different ram.

Hello, I currently have:

Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9R)

and I have found someone selling some more (another 2x4gb) at a very good price. But after looking at it more closely it seems that theirs are CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8R. I searched it up and understand it is something to do with SPD latency? I was wondering if it would be ok to mix the 2 sets as I don't fully understand what this means.
