Since our psychic abilities are on vacation this week :) you'll have to tell us all the details. What are the model numbers of EVERY component of your system, especially power supply, motherboard, CPU, hard drives, RAM. What operating system are you using?

How exactly (what type of cable, to which connectors) are each of your hard drives connected?

Is this a newly built system? Did it ever work? If so, did you change anything (hardware or software) just before the problem appeared? What, exactly and in detail, have you already tried?

Hi!
I have 2 RAM (512x2), 2 hard drivres (samsung 20Go & WD 320Go), motherboard ASUS K8V-X, CPU AMD Athlon 3200+ 2.2Hz, 1 CD-R drive and one DVD drive.
PCI card 404 for my MOTU 2408 mk3 (Audiocard), a PCI card E-Mu Proteus X, a SCSI card and a Video card

I think that`s all u need. Tell me if I forget sumthin`.
Thx again.

Sorry, I forgot some important: IDE Hard Drives! I had 2 change my Master HD because of a shipment France-USA (Fedex sucks sumtimes, yup!). I`ve tried 2 switch cables 2 make sure it was not the problem (drives cables and Hard Drives cables). I`ve tried to switch place of my cable connections on the mothersboard. Different HD configurations (Master, Slave, Cable etc). CD-R unplugged, DVD unplugged, only one RAM (512) plugged. My power supply is the french basic one. I only use an adaptator, not a transfo.. maybe that`s the problem.

Ah, if you are using the original French PS without a transformer, you are probably right that that is the problem. Some PS's are universal and will work on all voltage systems, but some will only work on one type, and some have a physical switch on the back.
Looking on the back of your PC where the power cord goes in, is there a switch like the one circled in green here:

If so, use a pen or screwdriver to push the plastic bump to the other side.

Otherwise, I would try installing a PS made for US voltage and current. Even a transformer may not help, since it only changes the voltage and not the frequency of the AC.
