Mods on haf x

I'm going to be painting the haf x white in a couple weeks and I wanted to know any tips or tricks to painting cases. Got any?

One other mod i wanted to do was created a key switch to allow the power switch to be used. I don't want the key switch itself to turn on the pc, but to complete the circuit so that it can be turned on. Anyone know how to wire this?

Any help is much appreciated and so are other mod ideas!!! thank!!!

No idea on the power switch, but I would put down a coat of primer first, just to ease the final coat application.

planning on 4 coats of primer, 5 coats of paint, and 4 coats of clearcoat... then rubbing compound

1st two were useless. 3rd was next to useless. Forum link was by far the most useful but it still doesn't tell you how to do it

well if there's always two wires ( in the last case, black and white) couldn't i have one wire go straight from the regular power button to the mobo connector. then have the other go from the power button to one prong of the key switch and another wiring going from the second prong to the mobo connector, thus completing the circuit? I think this is right but i don't want to screw something up and find out later

That should work on the wiring, A power switch is momentary so as long as the stock switch is still installed the Key would be doing nothing more then allowing the stock switch to complete its circuit.

One note on the painting as well, MAKE sure to sand/scuff EVERYTHING.. before primer and use a self etching primer over any bare metal.
