Hi, I've had this monitor 4 years (Samsung Odyssey G7 27") and now will not turn on. It seems to "blow" after turning on. Sadly it's out of warranty.

I'm trying to understand how this is failing so I can fix instead of replacing. I'd like to save both money and e-waste if possible :)

Any advice much appreciated!

That looks more serious. Maybe a short to the LCD layer or something?

Power supply issue might be workable, generally capacitor failure and tracking down the one that is broken. That behavior could also be the electronics that drive the screen. If it has lost its mind, not much repair work to do.

One cheap option would be to find one of these monitors with a broken screen, swap things around and see if you can get it working again.
