Monitor does not turn on

My monitor (AOC-5e) does not turn on at the boot up. Only after several attempts it turns on. I have this problem only if my comp has been turned off for a long period of time (more than 30 minutes).
I use:
WinXp Pro, ASUS A7V266, Athlon XP 1600, Radeon 7200 (64MB), 1 Gig of DDR, two maxtor HDs (40/7200 and 20 Gigs/5400), SB Live value, Realtek network card, Nec 7800A CD burner, Afrey 50X CDROM, Enermax 360 Watt.
My clone comp is only 2 months old. And the proble first appeared after 2 weeks of use.
I know it would sound silly, but does something in my comp needs a warm up before starting work normally (video or CPU etc)?
I tried to use my friend's AOC-5e, but I got the same result.
Any advice will be of great value for such a lamer as me.
Yer.

Are you using the sleep mode (system stand-by) on your system?

Nope, I disabled both hibernation and stand by.
