Hello alL! Hope everyone is doing well and preemptively want to thank anyone who reads through and offers any advice!

Currently I have a Digital Storm Lynx Version 3 PC with an Intel Core i7-9700F (8 core), 1x GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB, 240 GB SSD and 2 TB Seagate Storage. I bought this back in August 2019,
making it a little bit older than 5 years and have not upgraded or added any new parts since my
initial purchase.

Over the past few months, I have had some issues with the PC crashing/freezing during various
activities. These range from playing a video game, to using the internet w/ multiple tabs open
(these are video games that the PC is capable of running, the other day my PC
froze/crashed running a 2017 game, Shadow of Morodor, which is not at all a demanding
game). When this happens I will hard reset my PC and reboot back to the desktop. Sometimes
when I reboot my system, the PC will turn back on, the mouse/keyboard will light up and turn
on, but the monitor will not. Sometimes it takes a few resets to get back to the desktop and have
the monitor turn on, but eventually it will go back to running as normal. I have tested out the
monitor, and this still functions properly from what I can tell. This gets power, still shows the
AOC brand logo when resetting and acknowledges when it is being plugged in (it will say, "no
signal" when plugged into computer), so it appears to not be a hardware issue with the monitor
itself or the wire from what I can tell.

Unfortunately, the freezing/crashing took place again this past Monday, and after multiple
attempts, over the past few days, I have been unable to get the monitor functioning when the
PC is turned on. I have tried hard resetting multiple times each day since Monday, and am still
encountering this issue as of today.

I was able to initially turn on my PC on Monday, but crashed when I was using my internet
browser. I was able to get the PC back on again, but the PC crashed again when using the
internet. I was able to get my PC/Monitor back up and running for a 3rd and final time, however
the PC froze again during start up, specifically when the system attempted to launch EA Play
and Battlenet (programs that launch automatically). Since then, I have been hard resetting my PC
in an attempt to get the monitor to work, to no avail. Still similar issues, mouse/keyboard lights
up, but monitor does not.

I am aware that given the explanation, it could be a multitude of different things, including an
issue with the hardware (ram, hard drive, potentially something else?), a virus/malware, or even
potentially an issue with the monitor itself/the wiring. With that said, given the nature of the
crashes and my testing, I have mostly ruled out that this could be a monitor or outlet/plug issue.

My question, is there any advice anyone can offer for someone in my situation? I do know most
would recommend taking it to a PC repair shop, which I am willing to do. However, I would like
to know if there are any other things I can do on my own prior to doing this. I’d like to avoid
spending literally any money at all on this unless I’ve exhausted all options prior.

Given the age of the PC and my need for upgrades, I have been leaning towards just buying a
new pc entirely. I was looking to upgrade my PC soon, but given the potential to need to
upgrade additional parts outside of my CPU/GPU, I am more heavily leaning towards just
buying a new pc. But again would like to explore as many options as possible prior to spending
any amount of money.

Thanks again for anyone who reads and assists!
