Question Monitor loses picture a few seconds after being turned on

A monitor at work started to act up. I have 2 monitors connected to work PC. 1st monitor is working just fine, but the second one loses image after a few seconds. If you turn the monitor off and on again, images comes back for a few seconds and screen goes black again. Its a very weird problem, I would say its a cable issue(will test new cable on monday), but i've turned the monitor on and off a dozen times, and it shows image for the same amount of time before going black.

Has anyone encountered this kind of problem before? What could be causing it.

If you swap the two displays/ports connected to, does the problem "move"?

Just an update, the company IT guy came before I could test the cables, but he just changed the monitors, and threw out the old one, so I guess it was the monitor, since it would turn off by itself after same amount of time every time. It would be unlikely to be a cable problem given such a accurate shutdown time.
