Monitor or tv for gaming

I want a small screen TV as i like to sit next to the monitor 22-24 inch possibly. However, not sure if TV or Monitor will be better, i will not use the TV for anything else apart from gaming.

I think the best use of TV connected with a PC is because it's screen size. So you can enjoy your favorite games or movies from considerably distant position. I think playing PC games using CPU+TV screen brought you the same experience as playing game consoles (such as PS3).

At the other hand however, monitor/LCD is the best fit for your CPU. It's offer greater resolution on smaller screen size, meaning higher pixel density, in which equal to smoother image view.
