Monitor Problems; Flickers on and off

I was running a 3 monitor setup for about a year. They weren't the best monitors, but I still had three. A couple of months ago I upgraded one of them to a 1920x1080 monitor. It was working fine for a while and then just a couple of months ago my brand new monitor would flicker on and off every once in a while. The whole screen would go full black for about 4 seconds and turn right back on. None of my other monitors would do it. It got to the point where it was so bad that I was forced to return the monitor and get a new one from them. That solved my problem, for another 3 weeks until the exact same problem came up. I then thought it wasn't the monitors fault, so I tried new cords and everything but it still was happening. Does anyone have any clue as to why it keeps flickering on and off?

what video port does that monitor use & does 1 of the other monitors have the same to see if it might be a videocard problem?

It uses HDMI and my old monitor used the same port and never had any issues.
