Monitor won't display 1080p on integrated graphics

Up to now, I've been using the DVI-D port on my monitor for my computer. But I'm getting an Xbox One and I want to play on my monitor using a DVI to HDMI cable, so I tested the integrated graphics on the motherboard and it wont display correctly. It defaults to 1024 x 768 and the highest it'll go is 1600 x 1200 at 64Hz. I've tried forcing a resolution by listing all the modes in Windows 10, but the option for 1080p still doesn't show. I've also tried 2 VGA cables. Does anyone know what to do?

I've used the VGA port before and I didn't have to install any integrated drivers for it to display 1080p.

If it's not hard try it.. You don't have anything to loose.

I can't find the integrated graphics drivers

I found it on the asus website.. Google your motherboard's model click the asus site go to support->drivers select your operating system and go to vga

I see bios, audio, and lan drivers. Nothing for vga.

Try an older version operating system it should work. Also Windows update is a good alternative..

The Win 7 version will work with Win 10?

I opened the folder and there's multiple things. I'm assuming I have to run an exe.?

Usually it's the setup.exe file..... Or you could send a screenshot.

When you first open the folder there's AsusSetup.exe and Setup.exe. There's also 2 folders named Bin and Bin64 which both contain more Setup.exe files.

Ok, try connect your display ,run windows update and see if it finds anything.. Try restart and repeat..

I'm just gonna try uninstalling my GPU drivers and see if that works tomorrow. I won't be needing them anyway. lol

Yeah that might work. If you uninstall your gpu drivers and connect your monitor to your motherboard's outputs you may force windows update to download the right drivers.

I'm probably gonna buy a whole new monitor entirely. The one I'm using now is from 2009...

I don't think that your monitor age has anything to do whith this problem. I believe it's something simple. You will find it I am sure

Uninstalling drivers did indeed work.
