Question Monitor's refresh rate keeps resetting to 60hz every time I ALT Tab ?

Hey, everytime i try to open minecraft for example, as the game goes fullscreen and tabs into it (or if i alt tan anything) my monitor's refresh rate resets from 240hz to 60hz and i can't tab out to change it without tabbing back in and it resetting again.
Any help? Thanks all

Could be dynamic refresh rate, that's if you have Win11. Which Windows do you have? Should list system specs as well.

I'm on windows 10 home atm.
System specs are:
MSI A320M-A PRO
Ryzen 5 3600
Sapphire RX 570 4gb
Corsair Vengeance 16gb RAM Ddr4
Toshiba 1tb HDD, Samsung 860 evo 256gb, Crucial BX500 1TB

Im guessing it's something to do with Freesync, or maybe combination with that and fullscreen optimisation (on or disabled) for game's exe properties.

So would i just need to check the setting in the exe file, would it need to be on or off (or just the opposite of what it's on)

Just the opposite. If not then try turning it back on.
