Folks, I'm new to the forum and pretty much of a newbie when you get too technical. I'm planning on building my next computer and I have a question regarding monitor vs graphic card performance. There are some very hot graphic cards on the market but I don't see any monitors that come close to having the same performance. Am I missing something? Thanks, wildblueyonder

Dude. The GFX card does everything. The monitor is just showing you what the GFX card is doing. It doesnt matter what monitor you have.

Lotuspod, I don't see how a GFX card of a much higher resolution can make up for the lower resolution of the monitor. The monitor can only activate so many pixels regardless of how many the GFX is capable of activating. How do you explain this? wildblueyonder
