A GTS 250 goes for around $130 USD, while a GTX 280 goes for over $300.

The only way the dual GTS 250 will sell is if it sells for well under $300.

The card is overclocked to 675 MHz on the core front, and the shader clock is cranked up to 1696 MHz.
wouldn't that be an underclock? even a stock 9800 gtx is clocked at that speed, and a 9800gtx+ (even a gts250) is clocked at 738 MHz/1836 MHz.

Agreed. If it's in the $220-250 range it should sell decently.

Huh, I've been wondering for a while now if dual core gpus were ever going to be used. Hopefully it'll catch on

why would anyone want to buy a non-dx11 card nowadays when there is a wide range of dx11 cards available? it's 2010 folks. it's the year of dx11. :)

That's sad it doesn't come with a SLI connector, I could have done some tripple SLI with my 9800GTX+ LOL. No seriously, I don't think this is such a great idea, except if they intend to sell it for real cheap (like -200$).

Well there aren't hardly any dx11 titles out there to take advantage of the hardware. But I would say it would be a better move to grab two 5770's or 5750's instead of two gts 250's...

Nvidia needs to come out with their new cards already so we can see a price cut from ATI

Because dx11 like dx10 simply doesn't mean anything. New version with new features that 95% of games aren't going to use in a meaningful way because they need to move a million copies to break even and they need dx9 customers too...

Three slots? too many slots taken up. I will only use two at the max. I'll see how Fermi will do and price before I will look at this again.

I wish that it had a SLI connector either wise I would buy it when it got down to around the $150 range but then again I already have two 9800gt 1GB editions in sli and they hold up well when gaming. My cpu how ever I feel SHAME.....A puny e7200 that was modded to run at 3.6ghz. Long story short I removed the IHS and cleaned up the Cheaptel crap and used AS5.

[citation][nom]Shadow703793[/nom]Agreed. If it's in the $220-250 range it should sell decently.[/citation]Looking at the performance alone, it should sell for around $220. Because for $200 (or less) you can get a GTX 260 core 216, a Radeon 4890, or 5770. Look at the performance of those cards vs SLI 9800GTX and they're very competitive. Plus they use less power, take up less space, generate less heat, and have more overclocking headroom. On the other side, closer to $300, you've got the GTX 280 and the 5850. So low $200s would be ideal - $250 is just too much this late.

[citation][nom]demonhorde665[/nom]as for price i think think thing shoudl go ultra competive , i'd grap it for around 160-190 ther are much better cards to be had at teh 220-250 range[/citation]

I would say they need to be very competitive with the 4850x2 that ATI offers for $210. If they could put it at $200 or lower that would be awesome, but I don't think they should even try and do more than $220.

BTW that 4850x2 is a GREAT value. But how does a single GTS250 stack up against a single 4850? I'm just curious to know what kind of performance one could expect from this new dual-gpu card.

This would make for a sweet review, IF the GTS250x2 was going into large production that is.. i ALMOST picked that 4850x2 over my 5750's I ordered, but in the end, I wanted a more current GPU and DX11 support :)

It's all about the dual Radeon 2900xt IMHO...

What a pointless piece of hardware...
