Hi

Just when I thought that I had everything sussed out I am now getting a niggling doubt about my motherboard choice. I was dead set on the asus p5b deluxe until all the hype about the Gigabyte DS3. There is a £40 difference in price between the 2 does the asus board really justify this extra amount? Here is a list of what I am going to be buying. I intend to over clock the e6400 to atleast 3.2 but 3.6 would be great. I understand that the p5b deluxe goes up to 600 fsb which will allow 5.5Ghz which is no way gonna happen on air cooling whereas the ds3 goes up to 500 fsb which would be 4.5Ghz still more than enough.

Core 2 Duo E6400 2.13ghz - Skt775 Fsb1066 2mb Cache Boxed

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AA804)

Connect3D ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 256MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler

Seagate ST3250620AS 250GB SATAII/300 7200rpm 16MB Cache - OEM

Corsair HX Series 520W Modular PSU - ATX12V v2.2 APFC

Arctic Silver 5

Is the p5b a better more stable choice for overclocking I want to go as far as i can or will the DS3 be just as good or better ? They seem to be equally as popular and it just seems that people have personal preferences between the 2. Is there any reason why my hardware selections would not work on the DS3 ?

Also ive seen the ds4 and dq6 or whatever ? should I consider these ??

What would you guys advise ??? This is doing my head in so much just wanna get the thing ordered next week.

Thanks for any help

Matt
