I'm looking for another asus motherboard with DDR4. I'm looking at the Maximus VIII boards or the lower rampage V. For CPU looking at one to fit the board obviously. Which CPU should I get?
This is what I have now. Any suggestions to upgrade my system?

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 750GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Superclocked Gaming ACX 3.0 Video Card

Now most games do support and get performance boost with SLI.
There are very few games which don't get performance boost with SLI eg.Batman Arkham Knight

With GTX1080

IMO I would not upgrade, you have a pretty decent system. You can always OC your CPU for better performance. The i7 6700K does not perform that much better than the i7 4770K on stock clocks. Just save your $$$ or send some my way ;-)

Yes to some extent I agree.
OP could spend that money on getting 2nd GTX1080 which would give a great boost in gaming experience and upgrade CPU Mobo and RAM in future.
But choice is of OP

My PS is an overkill lol, I have a Power Supply: Cooler Master V1000 1000W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply. I was trying to go the ddr4 way, but you guys think I should wait and just go sli then maybe ill do that. Only reason I'm trying to upgrade the est is because my Arma 3 with this system and optimized settings only gets me 20-30fps. So trying to get newer everything lol

Go SLI. You have a 1000W PSU. That would be a criminal waste of money if you did not even try to use half of it. And you get higher FPS on games 95% from graphic cards and 5% from the rest (in most cases). Getting a newer CPU will, for almost all games, not make any difference. The reason you upgrade is either because you are doing CPU intensive tasks like video editing or because you don't want your CPU to bootleneck your GPU. I am almost certain your CPU won't bootleneck an SLI, but someone correct me if I am wrong.

Ok well if you think my cpu won't bottle neck my system ,then I will go GPU.

It will not bottleneck go for it you will get great boost.
