So I bought a new CPU and Motherboard and have been having an awful time. It took me hours and multiple times gutting the comp to get the thing to start up. Turned out that removing all the ram except for one of the bars somehow made the computer decide to start.
So now I'm at the point where I start my computer, it shows the "starting windows" screen with the icon and then sends me directly the the "gigabyte bios setup" where it gives me the options to configure the bois/q-flash or set the boot options. I have looked through the bios setup for the past few hours trying to figure everything out. Most of the options seem like I should not mess with them as I dont want to worry about overclocking right now. I set the boot options to my hard drive... the other options I dont know what they mean. So when I exit the program and attempt to boot up the windos startup appears again and immediately sends me back to the Gigabyte bios setup. Was there software I need to install prior to putting in the new hardware? What configuration am I missing that wont allow the os to boot up?
