Pardon my ignorance but I will like to know if ATX form factor means the specific size of the motherboard and the specific location of the mounting holes on the motherboard to fit in the case besides the power connections from the PSU.

I ask this question because I want to fit a socket 939 motherboard (ATX form factor ASUS A8V De Luxe) into a case that I originally purchased for an motherboard with socket A
(462 also ATX form factor) and I believe that as long as it is ATX case...ATX..PSU...ATX motherboard etc everything is compatible right?

If you have an ATX form factor case, then the A8V Deluxe will fit in the case.

One thing you need to check out is the power supply that is in your case. Newer systems have higher power demands. What type of PSU is in your case?
