Motherboard driver

just installed xp service pack 3 ob dell inspiron 531s. all conflicts in device manager are resolved except sm bus controllor, which has the dreaded exclamation point. i'm having no luck in finding the correct driver to resolve this issue. the board is a dell 0ry206, serial number cn698617a814e4. it is amd 64 athlon x2. any help finding the correct driver would be appreciated. thanks!

That will be a chipset driver generally availiable from Dell/Intel.
Go to Dell support and enter your service tag and/or model #.
Download appropriate file.

there was only one driver under chipset on the dell site. downloaded driver, watched it load. it said it loaded successfully, but still have same issue in device manager.
