Hello Folks, :hello:

I'm in process of renewing my PC but I'm confused with Old Graphics Card.

So, i came here for answers or perfect suggestion. :sol:

Please let me know that "Nvidia Geforce GT 440 DDR3" Graphics Card will work on any i3, i5, i7 compatible Motherboards (with DDR 3 RAM support) or NOT 🙁 ?

If YES 😀 then, please suggest me some best but low cost Intel or Asus Motherboards Name/Model.

Thanks in Advance for your support.

Cheers, :bounce:

Solution

gt440 is a dx11 card and only available in ddr3 and ddr5.

Any motherboard with pci express x16 slot would work fine with it.
Cheapest motherboard would be intel h61 but if you want to overclock your i3, i5, i7 cpu, then go for a p77/z77 cpu.

Solution

The RAM of the graphics card does not have any relation to the RAM in the motherboard. They work independently and therefore, the GT440 DDr2 graphics card ( if that is what you have although nVidia specifies only DDR3 models ) will work with any motherboard ( socket 1155 for sandy or ivy bridge ) or any motherboard socket for the matter that have PCIe slot.

Thanks for your reply man.

and Sorry, YES that is DD3 Graphic Card.

Now, Please suggest me, which INTEL or ASUS Board will be good?

I have searched for "Intel DH67CL Motherboard" Is this good?

😱

Thanks for your reply.

and Sorry, That is DDR3 Graphics Card.

let me know, which INTEL, Asus motherboard will be better with this GT 440 Graphics Card and with i3, i5 or i7 processor?

I don't think thats a gaming class mobo.

ASUS P8H61-M LE/USB3 is a better solution.

May I ask why it seems that you are building your PC around the GT440?
I asked because the GT440 is a pretty weak graphics card & wont give you much performance in gaming and it is not the sort of graphics card that you put as a center of your PC build.

Actually, I'm related with Animation/Game Field. So, suggest me a board accordingly.

Thanks for your concern.

Actually, This time i have fixed budget and i planned to replace my Graphics Card later. So, i just wanted to know that, My GT 440 card will support on any new i3, i5 or i7 compatible motherboard OR not and according to the answers, IT will support

Therefore, This time I'll buy only Boar, processor and Ram with GT 440 graphics card and in future, will think to replace it with any new and advanced graphics card.

Hope i have cleared your confusion.

Kindly suggest me any best motherboard with low cost.

Thanks again

Do you already own the GT440 or just plan to buy it? If you still have to buy it & your only intention is to have a cheap graphics card to enable the display & use the computer while waiting for an advanced graphics card, it may be better not to buy the GT440 & just utilize the integrated graphics of the intel processor. These are becoming powerful & can even be used in some games.

So it might be more cost effective for you to just buy the Boar, processor & Ram.
In any case, how much are you willing to spend for all 3 so we can offer you a combination within your budget.

Well, I already own it 🙁

and I'm willing to pay around USD 380 (INR 20000 as i'm in India) for Board, Processor and Ram.
with the same GT 440 Graphics Card.

Also, I'm related with Animation/Game Industry.

So, please suggest something accordingly. 😱

Hello

This time, I'm thinking about these.

Intel DH67CL Motherboard
Intel 3.06 GHz LGA 1156 Core i3-540 Processor
Corsair Vengeance 8 GB RAM (CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10)
Geforce GT 440 GT (Already own it)

According to my budget and requirement, as I'm an Artist (Animation/Games)

So, Please suggest me that. combination of these product would be great OR not?
Also, suggest me about SMPS that according to my above mentioned things, which SMPS (power supply) would be great.

Thanks in Advance
