Question Motherboard kills keyboards

My motherboard (9 years old now) destroys about 1 keyboard per year. What keyboard is the most protected against an incorrect voltage input? (I'm assuming something is wrong with the USB voltages. )

Which power supply are you using?

Do you use the USB port on the rear (motherboard ports) or the USB port of the front panel?

Maybe get a USB PCIe card
