[SOLVED] Motherboard not posting with ram in dimm slot B1 or B2

Hello,

Recently I tried cleaning up some dust and rearranging some wires in the mess that was my computer. After using a can of compressed air to clean out the dust and moving some cables, it won’t post with ram in slots B1 or B2. I checked and the cpu socket pins are fine, reseated the cpu, loosened the heat sink and the dimm slots are clean, but I can only get it to post when I have RAM in slot A2.

Components:

MOBO- Asus Z170-AR
CPU- Intel i7 6700k
GPU- Sapphire RX 470 8GB Nitro
PSU- EVGA 600W
RAM- 2x 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400MHz

I’ve looked across forums everywhere and I’m doing my best to avoid buying a new MOBO and I don’t have a warranty since I bought it from a friend. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Solution
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

According to your manual, page 1-8, you should be populating your rams in slots A2 and B2. Meaning that our ram kit should be in those two grey slots towards the right of each black slot.
