Hello,

I have a Gigabyte GA-H67A-USB3-B3 (rev. 1.0) with the latest BIOS update on it. PC works just fine with the actual GTX770 2GB but when i try to start the PC with the GeForce GTX1060 6 GB GDDR5 it only starts for a second and then turns off. I have try to reset the BIOS but nothing changed.

PSU 600W
CPU Intel i53470 3.2GHz

Does this Video Card require an UEFI BIOS version ? Does that mean i have to buy a new motherboard considering that mine hast the latest update on it ?

Thank you

Modern graphics cards now default to needing a UEFI bios to be detected.
The transition from legacy was around the 700 series.
Some cards produced during the transition period had a switch to enable detection by a legacy bios. Some possibly could autodetect.
If your bios looks plain monochrome with simple text, it is the older type.
If it looks like a web page with color, it is UEFI.
Check your bios for some setting to switch.
