I just got back from the Verizon store as I attempted to get the E-815
and the free Motorola 265 for the wife. The lady began to process the
order and WAMO! She comes back saying the E815 has been placed on
"hold" so she cannot place the order. I asked her what does that mean.
She said, either a problem has been discovered with the phone or the
supply cannot meet the demand.

Have you folks heard of this?

It more like shes out of stock e815 and shes under orders to push the
pos lg8100 that verizon getting back by the boat load. And is having a
hard time to sell because of the bad word of mouth.

Funny you say that because while there were no 8100's on display, she
offered that model as substitute for the 815. I told her that while I
like the looks of the phone, I've read too many bad reviews about it
including the neutered mp3 player. She was surprised to know that the
mp3 player did not work on the phone.

Gee, I didn't see where Rico mentioned LG. You got issues?

I friend of mine got the 815 and the reception was awful. He exchanged it
for the LG 8100 and all is well. I have the 710 and the reception is great
as well.

He must have gotten a bad E815. E815 gets great reception. He should have
exchanged his E815 for another E815. Good luck to him with that VX8100.
VX8100 has way too much bugs.

Monday: help a person only 12 months into their contract with 4 lines to get
2 E-815's, and 2 Moto 265's for a total of $200. (no NE2 credit, but did
get the Buy one, get the other) It caused a 1 yr extension of the contract.
The phones are scheduled to arrive today. No advice about any backlog, the
phones seems to be in quite of a demand. dr

Yes I agree zero drop calls on my new e815 , especially were I live at
home zero call drops and old vx4500 drop calls at home all the time.

The reason there was a temporary hold was because the batch they
received from motorola ddid not have the right v-cast software version
on them. So they had to allow time for the techs to load the correct
version.
