Hi guys,
I'm having this problem in all games I have played so far on this new build. When playing games, cutscenes play as smooth as silk, so too moving / strafing with the keyboard, however, using the mouse to turn / look around causes an almost micro-stutter resulting in choppy gameplay.
Games played so far: BF4, Witcher 2, Payday 2,Arma 3, The vanishing of Ethan Car, Splinter Cell:Blacklist, Titanfall, Crysis 3
I have tried the following so far:
Clean installs of OS (on hdd and ssd) and games (on hdd and ssd)
All drivers up to date (and tried with combinations of some older drivers)
Switching off all unnecessary processes, programs and virus software
Disabling steam / origin overlays, stopping geforce experience from scanning for games daily
disabling / enabling any streaming services relating to steam / geforce etc
Samsung Magician (on and off)
Swapping out GPU (gtx 980 for gtx 680)
Trying out gpu and ram in different slots
Reapplying TIM and cooler
Testing psu
Reseating all cables and ram/gpu
Resetting / updating bios with different power managment options
Altering options in geforce experience and control panel
testing ram using memtest86 (4 passes, all fine)
various stress tests (furmark, prime95 etc)
tried different usb ports and only leaving in the minimum needed like mouse and / or keyboard
tried different mice and ps/2 keyboard
Tried different monitors
Tried different graphical settings and resolutions
cpu and ram at stock speeds
Also tried the windows update http://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/2908279 however when I try to install it I come across this eror "The update is not applicable to your computer". This update also states that if the game has RAW input enabled this would automatically fix this issue anyway. This isn't the case for me as BF4 has RAW enabled for the mouse and still the problem persists. I've also tried the regedit fix http://www.howtogeek.com/175722/how-to-fix-mouse-lag-in-pc-games-on-windows-8.1/ and this seems to have no effect either.
Any ideas?
Many thanks in advance
