Mouse NO light on laser?

On my mouse I can not see any laser light. Is this a problem or is it meaningless? I was filing a warranty claim and they asked the color of my mouse laser but I can not see it. I am also wondering if this could cause problems with the mouses functionality. I've also tried another laser mouse and I have no laser light.. interesting.

In my experience with them, I've noticed that older ones do have a light, while others do not. I don't think that it is anything to worry about.

If it isn't broken, don't fix it.
