Moving to Nvidia, which card should I purchase?

Hello, i have sold my XFX 6950 2gb since it wasnt giving me the performance i need.

My question is will the 660 ti perform better than a 6950, but also which cards should i choose from?


Msi GTX 660 TI PE @ 260 Dollars

EVGA GTX 660 TI @ 250 Dollars

Then the wild cards :

PNY GTX 670 @ 279.99 +tax

Msi GTX 670 @ 299.99 +tax

Both GTX 670 cards are completely reference, and i just cannot decide, i would like to have more money saved, but
the 192 bit memory bus on the 660 ti's is what is kind of irking me.

First off Merry Christmas!!! Second, i own a 7970 and a GTX 680. Third,bench tests show the 670 right up there with the best of both top cards.So my question to you, is why settle for less performance?(ps) I'd spend the extra money and get the 670.

Merry Christmas to you too! Thanks for the quick reply, and its just the reference cards look quite, meh. While the 660 ti from msi is the PE with twin frozr. I have never purchased a PNY card, and the contents include the drivers on a maxwell CD-R cd D:

Im just worried if the pny will perform worse than what a 670 should actually perform as.

I used to own a pny 560 ti while i sent back my 6870 to be RMA'd. Great card ,i loved it.I took it back to get my cash back when i got my 6870 returned.I really loved that pny card good preformance.

Merry Christmas!I would honestly not recommend upgrading to any of those cards.If you feel you must i'd recommend Msi GTX 660 TI PE.

I have already sold the 6950, but why shouldn't i upgrade? I had awful performance with the 6950 D:

Because the 192 bit memory bus.Plus the performance gain is less then 50% lol!

Big are you saying he should wait? I think that is where you are going with your statement. I would go with the 670 personally I was happier with the 670 that I ended up with rather then the 660Ti I returned (I bought one then returned it)

Well, the thing is that these are boxing day prices, which are fairly nice, and i am stuck using a 4890 currently and cannot play anything ):

It's okay if you want to upgrade now which would be more then worth it for you the 670 would be a far better investment then the 660Ti at the moment mainly because you will be more future proofed the 660Ti which has a lower CUDA core count as well as a lower Memory Bit 192 versus 256.

Well the Msi GTX 660 TI PE is good if your that much in a rush.I would recommend it but only if your gaming on a single monitor no higher 1080p go for it.
