Hello, i just bought new/used 1060, im pretty sure it was used in a mining rig, but its still on 2 years warranty and everything seems to be working fine, so i dont really care.
What i wanted was to check if its bios wasnt flashed, i heard most miners do it and it changes how gpu works.
I found current revision in nvidia tool, but i cant find what the original should be.

Could someone please tell me where to find it, or maybe you have that card and can check? I would apreciate it a lot.

Current one is 86.06.3C.00.E8

I'm unsure of that cards original bios, but most of the time miners don't flash Nvidia GPU bios. That is mostly done with AMD cards because they benefit the most from it. I spent many months mining and flashing AMD bios, but my Nvidia cards did not need a bios flash.

Oh ok, i dont know anything about mining, i thought all cards are flashed. Thank you.

Just to be safe tho, i would like to be sure that this miner (if it even was used to mine) didnt do it.

I can understand that.

It would be very rare for someone to have flashed the bios on an Nvidia GTX 10 series card.

Perhaps you could contact MSI with this question. They seem to have an update utility, and I'm sure they could tell you if the bios you have installed is the proper bios for that card.

I installed it and it shows no need to update, so i guess its the oficial one (or it doesnt work).

If someone has MSI 1060 3gb, maybe they can check.
If not, ill contact MSI and ask.
