Started happening after installing Starcraft 2 trilogy. Only played campaign at max graphics 1440p, vsync on, rivatuna framecapped at 144fps (monitor is 144hz). Cpu/gpu never exceeded 55 degrees during playtime.

PC would suddenly reboot at random times(cutscene or cinematics or during playing), at event viewer there's a critical log for "Event 41,Kernel-Power" with BugCheckCode and PowerButtonTimestamp at 0. Immediately after reboot I'd open hwmonitorx64 and my system temperature would be over 120 Celsius and +12V would be at 20volts higher and fluctuates. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

For me, it's a failing PSU. The PSU you have is old right? Looks like approx 5-10 years old? Warranty is gone and chances are it's dying.

It's time for an upgrade. Something like this will serve you well:

Or an EVGA G2/G3, Seasonic Focus Plus Gold would be more expensive, but again, real quality units
