Hi All,

Currently i have MSI b75ma-e33 mobo, i3-3240 (LGA 1155), GT 730 and 8GB RAM.
My question is... can i upgrade to GT 1030 GPU Card and can i also upgrade to a 1151 CPU?

I want to play PUBG with atleast mid settings.

Thanks in advance everyone. Cheers!

:)

Solution
Your current mobo and CPU use socket 1155 which is 2nd and 3rd generation of Intel and use DDR3 memory. Socket 1151 is 6th, 7th and 8th geneneration and use DDR4 memory so your mobo/CPU is not compatible with it. You will need to buy new mobo, CPU and DDR4 memory if you want to use socket 1151.

Your current mobo is still good so if you have limited budget, you can just upgrade your CPU to i5 or i7. I will go for i7 2600 or 3770. You can buy it on Ebay at good deal now since socket 1155 is now obsolete. Here is a link to all CPU that your mobo can support. Some latest CPU may require bios update first.

I think you should first upgrade GPU first to GTX1060 3G or 6G, or...

GT1030 is too weak. It is only half GTX660 which is minimum requirement

PUBG minimum system requirements
Here's what you need to run PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on your PC, according to developer Bluehole:
OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
Processor: Intel Core i3-4340 / AMD FX-6300
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB / AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB

PUBG recommended system requirements
Minimum settings are never the ideal way to play a game, and PUBG is no exception. Here's the kind of hardware we'd actually recommend playing Battlegrounds on.
OS: 64-bit Windows 10
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5-1600 / Intel Core i5-7600K
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB or better

I think you should first upgrade GPU first to GTX1060 3G or 6G, or 1050Ti depends on your budget. Make sure your good power supply is at least 450W
