Honestly, I still love my Acer TimelineX. It was a great deal-$800, i5-480M, HD6550 switchable, 9 hours battery life if I baby it.

Check out the real specs for the GTX 560M, it's only marginally better than the GTX 460M, no where near as good as the GTX 485M. The important part of the naming convention is the "60/70/80/85" in the GPU. I'd rather have a GTX 485M with it's 384 CUDA cores and a 356-bit memory interface and 90GB/s memory throughput.

Agreed, not to mention the power draw those things have, increased risk of data loss on a raid 0, increased heat, and many other drawbacks.

If they just had to go with 2 hdd's would have been much better to make 1 of them a small, cheaper sdd for the os and a few games. I know the cost would go up but it would be worth it.

Just a couple of months back I bought an ASUS G73SW (460M). I wish these chips were released earlier. I mostly care about the switchable graphics, however, since I primarily use it as a workstation with occasional gaming over the weekend. Also, the 15.6" form factor is too small for me - I prefer 17.3". It makes a difference working 8 hours a day in front of it. I'm sure ASUS will soon release a 17.3" model with 560M, but it's too late for me.

I have the same and it's awesome. Super light, and plays Starcraft 2 = I'm happy.
