I'm going to be buying an rtx 2070 in the coming weeks and I have my eyes on this one seen below

Now the thing is, apart from written reviews on sellers websites. It's like this card doesnt exist, for example on youtube. If you search for this exact card there is NOTHING about it, which I feel is strange. If anyone has any information on this card or even owns one i would love to know what you think of it and if you recomend me buying one

Well, the card exists?
https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-RTX-2070-TRI-FROZR
https://www.newegg.ca/msi-geforce-rtx-2070-rtx-2070-tri-frozr/p/N82E16814137490

As far as why there's minimal coverage.... looks to be two-fold.
1. It's a basic 2070. It's going to perform like any other 'cheap' (relatively speaking) 2070 out there.

2. It was EXTREMELY late to market. Best I can tell, it was first made available retail in January 2020. MSRP on the card was something like $450 USD (or equivalent) at the time.... making it a waste of time to cover.
There were $400 2070 cards available long before it launched. And 2070 SUPERs were available for not a whole lot more.

I'm still happy with the written reviews, they seem to be 4.5-5 star. I couldn't imagine it would be too bad just based on that. Worst case scenario I can get the dual fan gigabyte model for roughly the same price and return the msi one. I have a friend with the gigabyte model and he gives positive reviews about it.

Thanks for the help tho

It's just a shame there is no content on it🙁

No i did not. i was going to but the price jumped up in pretty much every retailer on the day i was gonna purchase it. so instead i was forced to get the gigabyte windforce 2x.

although i have no experience with the msi card. if you plan on getting a 2070 i wouldn't recommend the one i purchased as it runs hot and i have had plenty of issues with it. and if you can, wait for rtx 3000 series to release now

EDIT: it jumped up from 375 pounds to almost 500 pounds which was way out of my budget. and certainly wasnt worth that as a 2070 super costed about the same

Yikes man, i wished you asked here first before buying. Windforce cards are known for their poor cooling. Maybe return it?

its serving me well at the moment! i had some weird noise issues but i managed to fix that. and i have a hand made desk pc that has amazing airflow, which keeps the card in check, maximum temperature is around 72c.
Before, in my corsair 275r, it reached 85c on one hot day!
as said, for me its a decent card. but i couldn't recommend the card to anyone.
