Solution
Just to add to this, I also have an MSI tomahawk b350 and it won't let me overclock in the bios also.

I've just gotten used to running the Ryzen Master program at start and it sets the the top to 3.7 ghz @ stock voltages. I can run that all day and it doesn't hit above 50c in almost every game/application I run.

It is a little frustrating that it doesn't allow me to overclock in the bios, I'm hoping that it is just a bug in the bios and will be updated soon.
Well i agree and it has lesser heat sinks on the b350 even compared to my 970 msi gaming main board but dont you agree i should be able to get atleast a little oc on all 8 cores like 3.7 steady?

the fact they are barely adequate is BS, the B350 chipset is there for people who dont want all the bell and whistles that come with the X370 chipset, im overclocking my R7 1700 to 3.9ghz with RAM at 2666mhz with a very minimal voltage increase on a Gigabyte AB350m Gaming 3 motherboard.

Last I heard about the MSI Tomahawk was they had a new bios which allowed better overclocking and higher ram frequencies ? try and disable the game boost function, as this is an auto overclock feature for when your playing games, which would explain why your locked out of manually changing the multiplier, and its locked into auto, after disabling, reboot back into the bios for the changes to take effect, now see if you can manually change the multiplier, let us know if this works please.

All RyZen CPU's are unlocked.

I was going to change my case and get the Tomahawk myself, but I decided just to wait and get the Mortar mATX board instead.

1. Reset your bios to defaults.
2. Set an adequate frequency instead of Auto. e.g: 3500
3. Leave CPU voltage as Auto.
4. Save it and you are done.
