Hi
I'm looking at this motherboard: MSI Z170A XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM EDITION
in the description of the motherboard it's written:
2x M.2 ports
? Supports PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA 6Gb/s standards, 4.2cm/6cm/ 8cm length M.2 SSD cards
? Supports PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe Mini-SAS SSD with Turbo U.2 Host Card**
Is it x4 for both M.2 ports(so x2 for each) or for each x4 (1st is x4 and 2nd x4)?

From Newegg : 2 x M.2 ports (PCIe 3.0 x4)*
M.2 port supports 4.2cm/ 6cm/ 8cm length module
* The SATA5 and SATA6 ports will be unavailable when installing a module in the M.2 port.

..and I believe, the SATA1 and SATA2 will also be unavailable when BOTH the M.2 slots are populated.

So YES, answer to OP should be EACH M.2 slot uses 4 PCIe lanes (ie total of 8 lanes used if both M.2 slots are populated)
