Hi all,
I recently bought and assembled a new system. I don't game, I use it for training llms, and generative AI models in my spare time but most of the time it is for my job

Everything was working fine for the first two weeks, until I decided to reset my computer, after uninstalling a program. When I did there was a screen that indicated a failed RAM overclock, that had been working fine for the whole two weeks.. Since then, I haven't been able to get it to POST. The motherboard's EZ Debug LEDs are indicating a CPU issue with the red light.

Here are the specifications of my setup:

- Motherboard: MSI Z790 Edge

- Cooling: Corsair iCUE H170i Elite LCD XT 420mm

- CPU: Intel i9-12900K

- RAM: 64 GB Trident Z5 Royal DDR5-6400 CL32

- SSD: 2 TB Sabrent Rocket 4 NVMe

- GPU: Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000 32 GB

- PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 12 1000W

- Case: Cooler Master Cosmos C700M

I've tried clearing the CMOS by removing the battery and holding down the reset button for 30 seconds, but that hasn't changed anything. The system doesn't even beep, just a red CPU light on the motherboard. The thing is about the BIOS, the BIOS Flashback button is just missing it's just not on the board at all there's a place for it but it's not there it's blow my mind. And when I would try the M Flash in the BIOS before it wouldn't do anything. RMA'ing it is my last straw.. The thing is I can't afford to not have this computer it's essential to what I do for a living, I live in a very rural area, so there's not a micro center or even a freaking Walmart right down the road and the closest family members that I have are hundreds of miles away. I'm at a loss brain frazzled right now.

Does anyone have any suggestions or troubleshooting steps I could follow to diagnose the problem? Please!! Help.a girl out! 🙏😿
I'd really appreciate any help you can offer.

Thank you in advance!

Try above post first with one stick in slot A2. If that doesn't work try CMOS reset again.

I doubt it's BIOS firmware unless you messed with it.

The socket (12, 13, 14) has warping issues. It's possible you MB has distorted itself. Look on Amazon for Intel LGA1700 Thermaltake contact frame. It's cheap and might solve your issue. Poor contact on the CPU can mess with RAM and obviously cause CPU issues.

And do you have a z690 or z790? Your post and title are conflicting.
