You guys need to be aware that this isn't just price conversion issues. Currently, there is a ~$100 USD price markup on every R9 card above the 270X. 280Xs are $400 (the MSRP of the 290), 290s are $500, and 290Xs are around $600. And this is for reference models, which makes the $700 price tags on aftermarket 290Xs sound not so farfetched.

Agreed, I can't wait for their profit estimates to seem far fetched compared to what they actually receive..it's not just the miner's it's the holiday rush, and it's the next generation of consoles..everyone's getting out their pocket books, so perhaps now is the best time to put it away..at least until Maxwell comes out and the prices even.. can not wait to see that 790
