Multiple monitors

Hello everyone,

First time poster here.
What are my choises for multiple displays? I would like to extend my desktop over 2 or 3 monitors. Is there one card that could do 2-3 monitors?

I am planning on having 2 LCDs first at 1600*1200, and maybe later add a CRT for graphics work (digital photography) with color management. I will be running Windows XP Pro and linux on the machine.

I am new to this and that is why my questions are not very specific. I would appreciate any recommendations or links to other sites that could be of some help.

2 is easy. 3 would require a matrox tripple head card or another video card.
