This post is really about having a big laugh :lol: . Of course a score of 7500 or beyond is possible with a GF3 in 3dMark2001 default settings. For a stock card? With the Det 4 drivers I would say yep it is also possible if you have an Ultra fast P4 system. Matisaro, are you telling us you never told a lie before? Or never tried to cover up a lie after you got found out? As far as I see it, Fugger is allot smarter then you think (maybe a bit strange) and has been tolling with you.
Now some of us learn that honesty is a very high value and rare trait that few people really have, most people have a degree of honesty, depending on the circumstance it varies. Some people which you would consider to be vary honest lie like a dog on their income taxes. Others just do white lies as in harmless lies to family and friends and some don't even know it. Other people lie to manipulate other people to try to get what they want. Maybe others lie to get entertainment out of it by telling false tells about other people as a 3rd party to watch the friction and arguments that ensue there afterwards while they just get amused and take control.
So Matisaro what is your real point? That Fugger is a liar? Are we not all liars in something? Some of us strive to be honest in every aspect as possible while we fall short and have to make corrections. OK, noko, I have read your posts and respect you, and even thought I am SO desperatly trying to let this thread go.(ie not responding to amdmeltdoofus attackes etc) I will fully explain my role in this thread.
I have been laughing this whole time, you are correct in your assesment that this thread has been comedy.
Some final facts to think about, (regarding the possible vaildity of his claims, even the ammended ones.)
A: A score of 7500 is NOT possible with the origional non overclocked gf3 setup with a p4@1.8 which FUGGER claimed.
B: A score of 7500 is NOT possible with his ammended 215/515 claim either. His own link(the gf3/p4@2.2ghz owner I contacted) verified that, on his system he was barely able to get 7400 with a gf3 at 250/550 or some other insanely high overclock, and I might add on a p4@2.2ghz+. Either way FUGGER is a liar, and It has been shown repeated times. Detonator 4 scores are another issue entirely because they are not released.
C: Fugger refused to post links to his test results when he origionally claimed them, when he finally got around to posting them, 3 weeks had passed, and he had a new cpu and a fried videocard. (which I take to mean he VAINLY tried to back up his score with reality but failed miserably, frying a videocard in the process, then seeing the reply of his p4 comrade, stating that 7500+ is NOT possible without a p4@2.0ghz + he bought a new cpu.)
D: FUGGERS latest post has blew away his own defence of the ignorance of the overclock, he is posting a score of 7400 NOW, on the SAME SYSTEM, except instead of a p4@1.8ghz he has a p4@2.2ghz (bought a new cpu) the fsb speed is still 120, so his claims the extra mhz dont matter nearly as much as the faster fsb are also bunk. PLUS!, his gf3 is NOW running some 20/20 FASTER, than his origional claim, and yet with this new much upgraded system, he can not even attain his origional score? I find this to be extremely suspect and an obvious miscalculation on his part.(to think he could pass it off as different drivers and insist he did not intentionally lie.)
I will continue to let this thread die, unless called upon by my peers to answer any questions they may have. I would like to say, that I will go out of my way not to act in a troll manner, but if I see someone, insult someone else, based on falsehoods, loaded benchmarks, etc. I will do my best, without sinking to the level of troll, to correct the misinformation so that people who read this forum are not mislead with false scores and fantasy claims.

I have never lied about benchmarks etc on this forum, I try to maintain honesty as much as possible, have I lied, sure, everyone has. That is NOT why I called FUGGER out, or continued to attack him through his weeks of silence. I did all of the afforementioned things because not only did FUGGER lie, he INSULTED and DEGRADED, other posters on this forum BASED ON HIS FALSEHOODS. I found this to be wrong and attempted to humiliate him in response, which I did. This thread, for me, has not been about who has the faster score, or even if FUGGER could attain the score he origionally claimed, I know that with his hardware(espcially since he BOUGHT A NEW CPU JUST TO COVER HIS BIG MOUTH) he could get the scores he claimed. I have no problem admitting that. What I do have a problem with, is someone MAKING UP claims, and using them to attack other people, who may be very proud of their 3dmark2001 score(even if it is just a silly benchmark).

Well I apologize for getting you to have to write all that. Yes, agree, to lie and to troll (trying to get responses from individuals as to work them up in a negative fashion) combined with put downs is not right. Really anyone of those isn't right. If you find anyone doing that we do have an option to report our dissatisfaction to the moderator which I am not even sure who it is. Seems like THG forums are on automatic anyways. Usually a moderator would set an example for any offending person by warning and then banning if necessary. Now if a given individual isn't contributing anything to the forums or more importantly is negatively affecting the forums then we should be informing the moderator I would think vice carrying on a negative (but funny this time) thread. Will write more latter.

Matisaro, Like I said a few times now. (obviously you missed it a few times now) I posted that I made a mistake in that my video card was overclocked and not at stock setting, yet you continue to push the:

My claim was I can hit upwards of ~7500 with my home PC and yes I can =) weather you want to still beat on the dead horse reguarding me claiming my video card settings were stock or not is up to you.

I don't totally agree with you on this one nick. Juin distorts a lot of facts and isn't always truthful. I however do not like people making up user names just to make fun of someone though.

I know that he has his moments of distortion. In the posts of his that I have seen however, he typically has useful and somewhat well-founded information to give.
