Question My ASUS TUF Gaming X570-PLUS Will Not boot with a FireWire PCIe Card Installed?

My PC has the ASUS TUF Gaming X570-PLUS motherboard (ACPI BIOS Revision 1404). Has functioned fine for the 2 years since built. I am going to be doing some transfer of legacy Mini DV tapes from a camcorder via Firewire. When the FireWire PCIe card is installed, the computer comes on, but will not even boot to/past BIOS.

Troubleshooting:

• When the FireWire card is removed, the PC functions as normal. Place card back in and same thing happens.
• Changed which PCIe slot I place the FireWire card into. No difference.
• Enabled CMS. No difference. (Have not changed other CMS settings as I am not sure what to change.

QUESTION: What other things can I try to solve this issue? Thanks!

You have BIOS updates pending however...

Given that this platform was working fine for 2 years, it's likely that the card has conked out or there's a short over the card's port or the add-on controller on the card. This would explain why the system POST's when the card isn't in the system.

You forgot to mention the make, model and age of your PSU in your system's specs.

PSU. Power supply unit? I have no idea. What is the easiest way to find it? And I am curious why that would be relevant? The age is the same as the whole unit. About 3 years. Thanks!
