My cd Drive keeps telling me that there is no CD drive in
my computer, so I restart, and go to My Computer and it's
there and it will work, why does it randomly disappear.
Could this be a virus, or spyware, or adware? Please

Remove drive in device manager. Reboot and let windows automatically find
the drive and reload drivers.

See if that works.

Search XP KB (knowledge base) for procedure.

continue post if it does not work.
