Hello! ;) After long research I made it!
As I have mentioned before in my previous thread, I never build a PC in my life. This is my first build!
Here it is :
  • Motherboard - ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING
  • CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
  • Cooler - AMD Box Cooler
  • GPU - ASUS RX460 (My old GPU. I decided not to sell it and use it until prices will go back to normal.)
  • RAM - Patriot DDR4 8Gb 3200MHz pc-25600 Viper Steel (2x)
  • Power Supply - AEROCOOL VX PLUS 650W
  • SSD - WD Blue SN550 WDS500G2B0C 500GB
  • Case - Lian Li LANCOOL II MESH Performance
Additional information :
  • Approximate Purchase Date: This week.
  • Budget Range: $800 - 900.
  • System Usage from Most to Least Important: Game development/Rendering.
  • Are you buying a monitor: No.
  • Parts Preferences: The best of the best.
  • Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080.
  • Additional Comments: I'm a game developer, not a gamer ;) I need to build a PC to make games, not to play them.
  • And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My old PC is obsolete, and I need to upgrade it.
Please check my build for parts compatibility and stability.
Also, I have a question, it is the best build I can get for my money?
Thanks for your help in advance!

So, here is my ultimate build...
  • RAM - DDR4 G.SKILL TRIDENT Z NEO 32GB (2x16GB kit) 3600MHz CL18 1.35V / F4-3600C18D-32GTZN
  • Power Supply - SEASONIC Focus Plus SSR-550PX ATX 550W Platinum
  • SSD - WD Blue SN550 WDS500G2B0C 500GB
  • Case - Lian Li LANCOOL II MESH Performance
Everything is cool?
I would change that drive to the SN750
The price for that memory is probably way to much but anyhow see in the part number where it says 3600 C18 you need...
You can probably buy a cheaper B550 board and buy 3600mhz c16 ram instead of that expensive board. Looking at your cooler option I'm pretty sure you're not overclocking.

Also please avoid that PSU

Buy Tier B or above

Is there a point in buying a cheaper MB if I got enough money for the one I mentioned?

No, I'm not going to overclock it.
Is box cooler not enough for AMD Ryzen 5 3600X?

I found this one : SEASONIC Focus Plus SSR-550PX ATX 550W Platinum
Is that a good PSU?

Well no not really, you can buy cheaper mobo just to save money, no other reason. You should definitely buy 3600mhz ram tho, there's quite a difference between 3600 and 3200 for ryzen.

The stock cooler is good enough - as long as you don't OC

I'm not sure about that PSU, seems to be Tier C, again, I'd prefer a grey label Corsair CX550

Here is what I found. Please, take a look :
RAM - Patriot DDR4 16Gb (2x8Gb) 4400MHz pc-35200 Viper Steel (PVS416G440C9K)
PSU - Corsair RMx RM550x (CP-9020177-EU)

Actually the infinity fabric thing in ryzen, that likes 3600mhz ram. This will actually be slower than 3600 c16 because of the ratio. I'm not sure what I'm talking about because it's way too technical for me, but in essence, 3600Mhz 16-16-16-36. This is the sweet spot for ryzen. Anything above 3800 and it's actually slower. Here's a video of someone who knows what he's talking about:

He explains what I'm blabbering about in detail, and you'll see why I'm recommending 3600 c16
f anything, look for lower latency instead of higher Mhz. I'm sure there was a 2X8GB Trident Z Neo kit for the same price. 3600 16-16-16-36.

If that's so, then I'll choose it. I watched the video and to be honest... I didn't understand a thing.
PC building is more difficult than I thought.

The price for that memory is probably way to much but anyhow see in the part number where it says 3600 C18 you need to find C16 memory it's faster cas. If your not getting 3600 cas 16 you might as well get 3200 16 cas their close to the same speed as 3600 with 18 cas.

Are you sure SN750 better than SN550?
What about motherboard compatibility? Will there be no issues?

Here is what I found :
DDR4 G.SKILL TRIDENT Z RGB 32GB (2x16GB kit) 3600MHz CL16 1.35V F4-3600C16D-32GTZRC
This RAM is a little bit expensive, but if it's better, I'll buy it.
I want to build the good PC for game development.
