Hey, I'm setting up a gaming rig as my Acer Aspire laptops gfx card died a few weeks ago, and I saw it as a good opportunity to get a new computer. I haven't really been keeping up with the latest and greatest the past few years, but nevertheless I do (kinda) know what I am talking about. I'm just looking for you guys to rate my setup, offer some opinions/advice/whatever.

Mobo: BIOSTAR TP67XE ($125)

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K ($219)

Heatsink: ZALMAN CNPS9500 ($42)

GFX card: EVGA 01G-P3-1373-AR GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) ($190)

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600 ($60 w/ free 4gB usb)

Sound card: ??
I think I'll wait for now...

Power supply: CORSAIR Professional Series HX750 ($150)

CD/DVD drive: not going to buy one lol...

Case: COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP ($80)

HD: Western Digital Caviar Blue WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache ($55)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136218

Monitor: ASUS ($190)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236052

Keyboard: Logitech K200 ($20)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126191

I already have a mouse, and the monitor has built-in speakers that should suffice until I rake up the dough to buy a decent sound card and speakers.

You may have noticed there are two monitors. As far as I can see, the only differences are that one of them is 23" and the other 23.6" and 5ms and 2ms response time, respectively. Are those the only differences or am I missing something?

I did my research to make sure everything is compatible (hopefully I'm right). All of the hardware supports SLI (which I may do in the future), but will the second card fit comfortably in the case?

What do you guys think? Thanks a lot.

Remember, if you are only using a 32bit version of windows it will only make use of around 3GB of that 8GB of memory. And you might want to think about adding an ssd boot drive to this rig.
