My i5 2500k looks overclock but i didnt do it...

this a new build only a 2 days old all is good but when i did a test with 3DMark 11 surprised to know that it said Processor clock 4327 MHz but i didnt know how it got overclock cuz i didnt do anything,i dont even know how to overclock lol.CPU-Z is telling me 1648.3 then it gets upto 4327.3.plz can someone tell me whats up with this?

What? Check in the bios and look at the multiplier.

I am not 100% sure but I have seen this before on those mobos. I don't know if it activates on accident but in the BIOS is a auto tune feature and I think thats active.

You might want to kill it if you are on stock cooling.

Yes it was same thing for me when i put my System together - it ran faster than stock speeds . Check if your bus speed reads 100.00 mhz - it might been put on 103-105 mhz

That wouldn't push it from 3.3GHz to 4.3Ghz. Thats a 33% OC.

I still say its the auto tuner in the BIOS thats set to on instead of auto.

looking in cpu-z and when its on 1648.3 the multiplier is set to x16.0 and when it gets upto 4327.3 multiplier is set x42.0 and bus speed is 103.0

As I said, go to the BIOS and check under the AI Overclocking and make sure its not turned on.

Hello mate , your motherboard has 2 switches on the upper right side one is TPU labeld and the other one is EPU if u move the TPU swich u automatically get an overclock of 4.3Ghz .
I usually have none on for my motherboard.
