I have a Dell G3 15 3500:
CPU: 10th Gen Intel Core i5-10200H
GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630 and Nvidia 1660 Ti
Memory: 24GB
Storage: Samsung SSD 970 Evo Plus 1TB
I have had this computer for 3 years with no issues. A couple days ago I was playing a game and my laptop hard froze. My laptop monitor shut off and my other monitors were frozen. I left it for a few minutes to see if it would come out of the freeze and it didn't. I held the power button until it shut off and it restarted like normal. It has happened 13 more times since then. It usually freezes when I've played a game for more than a few minutes. Once it froze when I closed the game, and once it froze after I finished a 25GB download.
Testing
Windows memory diagnostic - no issues
Samsung Magician - sequential read/write ~3,000MB/s
I disassembled the laptop to clear dust and reapply thermal paste.
I updated BIOS and reinstalled Windows to no effect. It has no issues with YouTube or various school software windows. I would love any feedback on diagnostics and will provide further information as it is needed.
