Question My Motherboard supports WiFi 6, but my router only goes up to WiFi 5. Is this a problem?

I have a B660 Gaming X AX DDR4 from Gigabyte, which is advertised to support a, b, g, n, ac, and ax WiFi, but my router only supports up to ac. When trying to connect my pc to the router, it doesn’t work. Is my router not supporting ax WiFi a possible cause for this connection problem?

No. WIFI6 routers are backwards compatible.

Then your motherboard will connect with WIFI5 (AC) rather than WIFI6 (AX).
