About .80 to .85 on the C - dollar right now. so 15 to 20% diff higher in Can... plus thier rates of purchase do not match the US with shipping and customs factored in.

And you don't have to use that value RAM on that board... you most certainly could use higher quality RAM if you like.

G.Skill, OCZ, Geil, Patriot makes some good stuff for around $240 USD.

psu : Thermaltake / ToughPower / 700-Watt / ATX / 140mm Fan / SATA Ready / SLI Ready /

hard-drive : Western Digital / Caviar SE / 250GB / 7200 / 8MB / SATA-300 / OEM / Hard Drive

video : EVGA GeForce 7600 GT KO / 256MB GDDR3 / SLI / PCI Express / Dual DVI / HDTV /

Yea, that's pretty messed up. Well, if you have a buddy in the US, have him order the parts and put the majority of the stuff together. Just be sure he leaves the cards (graphics card, sound card, etc.) unplugged and bubble wrap as well as the CPU heatsink and that should work.

These are all my opinions!

Case: Good

Mobo: Eh, might want to opt for the P5B Deluxe. It'll be about $50 US more.

Processor: Good

PSU: Good

Hard Drive: This is normally user's preference. I like Seagates because they're smaller and quieter than the Western Digital drives I've owned.

Video: Fine. Since it's eVGA, you should be able to upgrade with no hassles. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Ram: 2 GB is good! This will definitely allow for some overclocking. Else, DDR2 667 MHz or DDR2 800 MHz will be fine

Screen: If you like it, go for it. A little pricey. Might want to look into WideScreens since it's the "new thing". Also, try and find HDCP for future proof

Overall, nice! 8)

The P5B doesn't have RAID capability where as the P5B Deluxe and the P5B Delixe w/ WIFI do. Just in case in the near future, you wish to do RAID 0 or RAID 1.

Monitors... how much are you willing to spend? LOL! I got my Samsung SyncMaster 940BW for $215 after tax (special Best Buy deal) It's a 19" WS with 5ms GTG. No ghosting at all and no dead pixels. Very vibrant and awesome in games. I've played F.E.A.R., Oblivion, Just Cause, Rainbox Six Vegas, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142, and just about every Steam game available and no issues at all. My only gripe is with FEAR, Just Cause, and Rainbow Six not supporting WS. Other than that, try for a 19" - 20" WS monitor  Or buy a cheap monitor and wait for the newer ones to come out

I believe it uses a PCI Express slot. There's a site that shows you how to remove it if you wish. I have in integrated onto my motherboard, but I don't use it. Don't need it.

Whoa man.... what was wrong with the Antec Truepower PSU you had picked out... that was by far plenty of high quality power!

And the RAM... you would do better with staying in the DDRII 800 area even with overclocks... the little bit of edge you get from higher RAM will not be noticable.

And get the Delux model of the Mobo as suggested by Eurasianman (good Catch) if you are doing RAID.

I looked at eVGA's website and their upgrade (as they call it - Step-Up program) is good only for 90 days from the time you buy your card. Within 90 days you can upgrade to a better card. I don't know how they figure prices on the old for credit and if they charge MSRP for the new. So it might a great marketing tool, but in practice may be useless. If someone has used it, you might want to chime in.

Ahh... I C.... The antec is SLI certified if that matters to ya.

Isn't the TT case a Full Tower? PSU should fit in there...

I'll give a look through Tiger CA and see if I can dig up some optional RAM. There should be some Corsair C4 stuff you might consider.

Whats your budget on RAM?

ima be real honest with you ... my buisness is around 2250$ Canadian ... so i dont really care the rams i got right now on the computer

OCZ Dual Channel Gold XTC 2048MB PC8000 DDR2 1000MHz Memory (2 x 1024MB

cost 425.99$ Canadian dollars

so i dont really care ... you could get me anything that would do just fine with it lower and i would love it ... as long as its good in 1st person shooter games ....

my goal is to play CS , CS-Source , Battlefield2 , Call of duty 3 , Quake4 , Doom3 , Half-life2 , Farcry , Fear , etc. ....

Okay I don't mean to make an already time-consuming process more time-consuming, but I thought I'd throw this out there.

I've heard nothing but great things about the OCZ GameXstream 700 Power Supply.

If you can try to find that, I guarantee it's comparable in price to what you picked out already. (It has something like 38A @ 12v)

P5B Deluxe as others have mentioned, great for over-clocking, which is what you want to do with the E6400. (Not worth it to get a 6400 unless you're for SURE over-clocking. Stock speeds it's neck and neck with the 6300.)

As far as hard drives, I really never noticed a difference at ALL when using a raid 0 over regular SATA single drive. The only time you notice a difference is with SCSI drives and I hate those things. They're so small for the speed gain and again, the speed gain isn't noticeable.

There's something crazy like a 500 gigabyte Western Digital SATA drive (3.5gb bandwidth, 16 mb cache) for like 150 on Newegg. Maybe you can find something similar to that at a Canadian outlet.

If you want a good cheap case, since you're using a third party PSU, I recommend finding an Antec Cooler Master 5. It's a mid-tower ATX2.2 form factor case, with excellent cooling capabilities, reliable brand and perfect for what you're setting up.

Low Timings are good to have, CL4 is all you need... with timings of 4 - 4 - 4 - 12 or there about... at DDR2 800 speeds.

i also thought about this memory ... tell me if its any good ....

http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1882393&sku=O261-8032

Not bad... and if you are not thinking of overclocking your system 1:1 CPU:RAM then those are just right.

I really recommend you going back to your original choice of the Antec TruePower PSU 650W it is completely enough for your system and will save you a few bucks.

You might consider a nice aftermarket cooler if you have some extra cash laying around... Though the Stock CPU Heatsink and Fan are fine even up to moderate Overclocking... If you do decide you want to push your system (And It Will Push Considerably) a Zalman 9500 or 9700, or Tuniq T-120, Scyth(spelling) are some to think about.

Good Price!!!
