I have reset the CMOS twice (left for hours) changed my boot priority and made sure my hdd was 1st etc. I have an 850w corsair psu. I can restart my pc just fine but when its left overnight or when im out then it gets stuck there and takes me numerous restarts to get it past. When it finally gets past it the system works perfectly

I had this problem and unfortunatly i still do not know what caused it but i have some ideas.
1. Check all your stand off screws, sometimes if your motherboard is screwed too tight to your case it can glitch out due to warping layout.
2. Check all your USB hubs, if you have a hub that looks broken try disconnecting it from your motherboard.
3. Check all your jumpers, make sure theyre in their proper location.

Ill try to think of more but buying a new cmos battery wouldnt do much considering all cmos batteries do is store the configurations that you set in the bios.
Try those suggestions.

If the CMOS battery is dying or corrupted, I would imagine that when the motherboard goes to grab the saved settings, boot trouble could occur. It's not likely, but it's best to rule it out now since it's so simple, rather than find out later it was the issue.
