My PC keeps turning on by its self!

My first guess is a faulty power switch in the tower.
Pull the power switch jumper off the motherboard and see if the issue goes away. If so, the tower's power switch is flakey

are you sure is not the windows 8 stand by mode?

Is it blue screening? Going though the shut down procedure? or just instant Power lost and off?

You are probably putting it into standby rather than shutting it down. If you use the power button there is an option in power settings to alter what happens when you push the button. If you want it in standby and it keeps waking up it's usually a wake on LAN setting or sometimes a USB device that is allowed to wake the PC.
